AutoDeck Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
AutoDeck is a personal Android and Android Auto app that shows synced lyrics, prayer times, football scores, weather, fuel prices and a parked-use web browser. This policy explains what information AutoDeck uses and why. AutoDeck has no ads, no analytics and never sells your data.
Information stored in our account system
AutoDeck requires signing in with Google so the owner can control who may use it. This is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore, Google Cloud region asia-southeast1):
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Google account email, name and profile photo | Sign-in and checking your licence |
| Licence status and expiry date | Deciding whether the app is unlocked |
| Phone model and Android version, last time the app was used | Support and managing access |
| Car make, model and year reported by Android Auto | Support (which cars AutoDeck runs on) |
Information that stays on your phone
- Now playing: with your permission (Notification access), AutoDeck reads the song title, artist, album art and playback position from music apps such as Spotify. It does not read the content of your notifications.
- Location: used only while AutoDeck is in use, for your speed on the car dashboard, detecting your prayer zone, weather, and remembering where you parked. Your parking spot is stored only on your phone.
- Browser data: logins, cookies and history for the built-in browser are stored on your phone until you use "Clear browser data".
- Your files: a background picture or welcome sound you choose is copied into AutoDeck's private storage on your phone and never uploaded.
- Settings: favourite teams, prayer zones, bookmarks and preferences.
Services AutoDeck contacts
To show information, AutoDeck sends only what each service needs. None of them receive your account details.

| football-data.org | Competitions and teams you follow |
| data.gov.my | A request for this week's fuel prices |
| Unsplash | A photo topic (e.g. "night city"); images are loaded from Unsplash |
| Websites you open | Whatever you do in the built-in browser, under that site's own policy |
Audio
When Android Auto connects, AutoDeck can play a short welcome sound and a spoken greeting using your phone's text-to-speech engine. You can turn this off in Settings.
Keeping and deleting data
Account information is kept while you have a licence. To have your account information deleted, email the address below from the Google account you use with AutoDeck. Uninstalling AutoDeck removes everything stored on your phone.
Safety
Use AutoDeck responsibly. Obey traffic laws and only use the browser and video when the car is safely parked. You are responsible for how you use the app.
